So. Nursery Inspiration. I think this post could have easily had eight thousand images in, but I’ve saved your finger from all that scrolling and cut it down to this lot. There are a whole heap more in a folder on my desktop.
Right now I have so many ideas rattling around in my head it’s hard to decide which will work well together. We want this to be a space we all love being in; spending time in as a new family. Nothing too matchy matchy (obviously…wait ‘til you see the rest of our house) and somewhere bright and colourful. With the perfect sprinkling of handmade, vintage and second hand treats.
Now I can’t wait to get started. Because at the moment, this is how the room is looking….

Oh they are all beautiful - I love the picture arrangements in the top ones in particular. I'm looking forward to seeing how your transform yours!
ReplyDeleteWell you can't go wrong with those images as a starting point! Can't wait to see it :)

They are all gorgeous, so excited to see what you do! x
ReplyDeleteDecorating a nursery is one of the most wonderful experiences in the world. Enjoy! x
ReplyDeleteLooove these spaces too (of course!). Am feeling much as you are. And the corner for the baby in the preschooler's room is looking much like your corner!
ReplyDeleteOoo you have plenty of time to play around with your nursery. Elke's is still a work in progress and she'll almost 2! All the nurseries are unreal. I love the little wooden boxes on the wall which I'd be all over in a flash if we werent blooody renters! xx
ReplyDeleteWow, beautiful! I love all of them!
ReplyDeleteI love your inspiration photos! Some of them I've saved as inspiration for Everly's room, so thank you for the links! She sleeps in our room, and will do for a few more months most likely, so her room is still a work in progress! One day, one day... :)
ReplyDeletePerfect selection of photos Nell. All those nurseries are gorgeous. I took a long time to get started with L's room and it was only when he was 7 months old that it was done. But now as a toddler, I see we are soon going to have to change things here and there to make it more " boyish". I find that a nursery is a constant work in progress and it's a delight to be adding bits & pieces to it all the time. Happy nesting! I can't wait to see what your little room is going to look like. xx
ReplyDeleteOh such lovely inspiration! Unfortunately due to us living in a small (but quaint I tell myself) one-bedroom home our babe's room will be ours, but I am thinking up ways to make his/her little corner sweet.
ReplyDeleteIs that a bit of moomin/snork maiden I spy all rolled up?
Well spotted Emily! We loev a bit of Moomins...beautiful writing and insane illustrations. This is actually a piece of cool wrapping paper we found for £1.50 and are going to frame. Genius!
ReplyDeleteHope that bump's coming along nicely lady xx
take your time, let it slowly come together with the things you love. remember the room will change just as fast as the babe does. x.
