He asks for it "row-row" now and will sing it with me, and loves to SNAP and ROAR! When we were weaning him off night feeds it was the only song that would settle him at night too, so it has a special place in my heart!

But his firm favourite at the moment is sleeping bunnies. Much to do with the fact he has to pretend he's asleep for half of it (he's obsessed with playing a game called nun-nights, which is pretending to go to sleep) and the other half involves jumping around. It's a win win scenario where Theo's concerned!

I'm a terrible singer, so I feel a bit bad for Theo to have to be subjected to it, but I do love the singing with him, and hearing then starting to sing is the sweetest thing! xabigailemilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12347783997932780506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3223966294194668259.post-33511716874512473112013-02-28T09:37:10.520+00:002013-02-28T09:37:10.520+00:00Oh I love old folk songs - I'll YouTube some o...Oh I love old folk songs - I'll YouTube some of these for sure. Folk songs and I tried them out on the babas when they were tetchy or bored. Both kept asking for 'more songs' so it seemed a good idea. My mum used to sing like this to me when I was little too. Dont know where you are on this type of music but some suggestions could be: 'three gypsies', 'fare thee well, lovely Nancy', 'grey funnel line', anything by Sam Lee - you can google all of these. Lots of words to learn but there's a lovely narrative to all of the above. This might be completely off beam, mind! Everly has a book of nursery rhymes and she will run to get it yelling 'Row! Row!' and find the exact page. We also love Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (we sing this at bed-time every night), Baa Baa Black Sheep, Little Miss Muffet and Ring a Ring o' Roses. I do a lot of hand/finger rhymes with Everly as she is fascinated by it and tries to copy - a popular one is the church and the steeple. Her very favourite at the moment is this one (I found a link so I didn't have to type it all out! http://rhymesandmore.blogspot.com.au/2009/03/slowly-slowly.html) - the 'slowly' part you wriggle your index finger up their arm, and the 'quickly' part you run your hands all over their body in a light tickle. xlittle wild moosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05472602907560952294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3223966294194668259.post-12804031017998303902013-02-28T02:33:39.622+00:002013-02-28T02:33:39.622+00:00Like Helen above, we love Galumph frog in this hou...Like Helen above, we love Galumph frog in this household (especially the *clap* la-di-da-di-da).

Miss Polly had a Dolly is getting a workout at the moment, except for some reason I can never remember the line that ends with pill-pill-pill.sofia and otto's playgroundhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15627954718506448697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3223966294194668259.post-10229243404743166942013-02-27T16:06:18.650+00:002013-02-27T16:06:18.650+00:00'If you're happy and you know it...' i...'If you're happy and you know it...' is always a hit in our house, as is 'Galumph went the little green frog' and 'Little Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his nose' - all thanks to the local library's bounce and rhyme session!
That video is so sweet (and your singing's not bad at all!)x

Helen - sittinginthekitchensinkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16639890137209445131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3223966294194668259.post-40753834173190267572013-02-27T12:55:34.181+00:002013-02-27T12:55:34.181+00:00p.s that video is the sweetest thing!p.s that video is the sweetest thing!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3223966294194668259.post-91029634238033468352013-02-27T12:51:58.414+00:002013-02-27T12:51:58.414+00:00We love Wind the Bobbin up here too, as well as th...We love Wind the Bobbin up here too, as well as the Grand old Duke of York (over and over!)
